Dear Friends,

                The CCA Office of Maharashtra Circle has come a long way since its inception on 1.10.2000 as a small unit of DoT comprising of limited staff and officers into a big office performing multifarious functions now. The office now established is being entrusted with new functions as a visible face of the Department of Telecom, Government of India. Some of these newly bestowed functions are as follows.

Collection of license fees and spectrum charges from the telecom operators.

Verification of Village Panchayat Telephones (VPT’S) and the disbursement of USO subsidy to those providing and maintaining them is another important function, which is helping the strengthening of communication infrastructure in our country.

One of the big responsibility is to ensure the prompt settlement of the terminal benefits of the retirees and family pensioners of BSNL Maharashtra circle and MTNL, Mumbai; and it has been our endeavor to settle these cases on top priority in a transparent manner. Due importance is also given to the complaints / grievances received from pensioners and we are committed to speedy resolution of the same in order to reduce hardship to the pensioners. I am sure that this website will serve as a transparent medium of communication and information dissemination between the pensioners and the Government.

Further, some of the important forms and rulings pertaining to Pension and nomination etc. have also been displayed on the website for easy access of working staff as well as pensioners along with the month wise status reports of the settlement of pension cases.

This office is going for computerization to ensure faster check up of pensionary cases. It is manned by staff taken on deputation from PSU’s like BSNL / MTNL. It is also proposed to strengthen this office by taking staff on deputation from other Government departments as well.
